A BIT ABOUT ME

Nationality: Irish & Egyptian
I was born in the year 2004, on April 19th in Dublin, Ireland. My roots go back to Egypt, where I spent my early years there. At the age of 11 I moved with my parents and siblings to Dubai, UAE. I'm currently studying at the American School of Dubai and graduating with the class of 2022.

Since I was 6 years old my father used to take me to watch him playing tennis and this is how I developed a passion for that sport. I started to train and compete on a national level. I played many matches, I won, lost, learned and progressed. I progressed further in tennis and started to compete on the regional and international levels reaching a ranking of number 2 in the UAE under 18, number 8 in men and a Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) of 9.34

Tennis has given me the chance to travel to many countries, getting exposed to different people, cultures and new experiences. It has impacted positively my skills, made me more resilient, committed, decisive, assertive and hard working.
​
Early 2020 the whole world was put on hold as a result of the COVID-19 and this has affected many aspects in my life and specifically my sport; whereby tennis training and competition were canceled. I have seen what COVID-19 did to all those around me and the challenging effect it had on our lives.
​
It was a tough year for everyone. Towards the end of 2020, the idea of creating a platform for a good cause to support fellow humans came through and I've decided to create a platform to support people in need and I named it ACE FOR GOOD. This platform has been created to gather sports lovers to join in a sports event and compete for a good cause and increase its awareness in a fun and friendly environment. The proceeds from players' registration and generous sponsors grants are directed to a good cause to support fellow humans.

When COVID-19 restrictions were easen up in the UAE, I managed to bring the first event to live during April 2021 in Dubai, UAE.
​
Since then, I've been very keen to explore further good causes and try to make a difference.
​
By the way, I am also a football fan and I support Real Madrid FC and consider myself a true "seguidor".
